Spharaka Networks Launches Spharaka Signal™ for OT and ICS Security
Hyderabad, India

Spharaka Networks Private Limited has launched Spharaka Signal™, an AI-native platform for operational technology and industrial control system security. The launch marked the company's first anniversary.
Signal™ addresses a gap that IT security tooling does not cover. An OT network is deterministic, its assets often run for twenty years without replacement, and an active vulnerability scan that is harmless against a server can freeze a controller or trip a safety system. Security in that environment has to be built for the plant rather than adapted from the office.
Passive by design
Signal™ never transmits onto a control network. It discovers assets, builds a behavioural baseline for each one and detects intrusion by listening to the traffic that already exists, which is the only safe way to monitor a live process. Protocol semantics are parsed at register level across Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA, Siemens S7, EtherNet/IP and IEC 61850, so the platform can tell a firmware download from routine polling.
Detection runs on several engines at once: signature matching, protocol conformance analysis, machine learning anomaly detection and process physics validation. The last of these compares observed behaviour against a model of the process itself, which means a divergence is detectable whether or not the network intrusion that caused it was visible.
One platform across IT and OT
Signal™ is integrated into Spharaka Sphere™, so an OT alert and an IT alert reach the same case with the same context rather than sitting in two consoles for somebody to reconcile. The convergence point between a corporate network and a plant network is the path most industrial incidents actually take, and it is the seam a split toolset cannot watch.
Every detection is mapped to MITRE ATT&CK for ICS automatically, which is what turns IEC 62443 and sector reporting obligations into a byproduct of monitoring rather than a separate documentation exercise. The platform covers ICS security, SCADA security, OT asset discovery and OT threat detection across energy and utilities, manufacturing and critical infrastructure.
One year in
The launch fell on the company's first anniversary. In its first year Spharaka shipped Spharaka Sphere™ and Spharaka EdgeProtect™, built SAGE™ and AuraXP™, and was recognised by the National Centre of Excellence and the NASSCOM DeepTech Launchpad Program.
